Folks, regrettably, today we were informed that John Mayer has cancelled his European tour.  He expects a full recovery under a doctor’s supervision.  We don’t have other details for now other than he completed the first of two shows in Copenhagen.

While some call him a “crooner” I do want to highlight the fact that he is a premier blues guitarist often appearing on stage with Buddy Guy.  Mayer’s renditions of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Empty Arms (The Sky is Crying Version, not the Soul to Soul one) is riveting and compelling.
